We emphasize our ministry to senior adults because they are a very precious group here at our church. What do we mean when we refer to our "Senior Adults" at First Free Will Baptist? It may mean a lot of different things. But because our senior adults are some of the most active people in our church, there is one thing it doesn't mean and that's "retired". Our senior adults class is one of the most involved groups in our church. They serve the church, the community, and their God in many different ways. And best of all, they offer you many ways in which you can be involved in ministry too. We know that some of the loneliest times in a person's life may occur when they are elderly. So we encourage our elderly members to stay involved in serving Jesus and fellowshipping with other believers. Their loneliness can be replaced with the warmth, friendship and love they receive from their fellow believers. We think you will find our seniors group comforting and enjoyable to be around. So if you, or an elderly family member is needing a church to call home where you can experience the joy of Christian fellowship, love and encouragement, feel free to stop by and pay us a visit.
We try to give our young adults an oasis, a place to rest, relax, and recover form their busy lives. While ministering to their children, we also have ministries geared toward meeting the needs of our young adults. We discuss a wide range of issues in our young adult classes. From raising children to doctrinal issues, and from the marriage relationship to our relationship with God, sooner or later, we cover it all in our young adult classes. When you visit our church, you will be surrounded with adults who are facing the same problems that you have and that are enjoying the same pleasures in life that you currently are. We believe you'd find our young adults friendly, personable, and a pleasure to be around.
Keeping them out of bad company and in the midst of Christian fellowship is a goal we have. We often offer alternatives activities for the kids in the church. They are encouraged to bring along as many of their friends as possible.

For those with small children, we understand your concern. You would enjoy being able to sit through the service without having to baby-sit, but at the same time you don't feel too comfortable leaving your children with strangers . Our nursery is a place where loving care is given to children from birth to 36 months. It is located just a few doors down from the main auditorium and is staffed by caring volunteer workers every week. The nursery itself is filled with items appropriate for small children and is setup for safety. |
